Biography
Dr. Deckler joined The University of Akron in 1991. He is a proud Zip, class of '90 and '02. In his time here, he has served as both a faculty member and as the Interim Dean of the ¹ú²úÂ×Àí Wayne College branch. He previously worked for Rockwell International, working on the Space Shuttle Project, The Timken Company, working on advanced manufacturing, and Goodyear Aerospace/Loral, working on antisubmarine warfare. Dr. Deckler served as the ASME Congressional Fellow from 2007 to 2008. He was invited by the University of Chile in Santiago to perform deformable robotics research in Santiago from 2016 to 2017.
