Biography
Dr. Hoo Fatt joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Akron in 1995. She is an ASME Fellow, and serves on the Editorial Boards of the International Journal of Impact Engineering and Thin-Walled Structures. Dr. Hoo Fatt has published over 120 journal articles, book chapters and conference papers in the areas of impact, blast, composite structures, sandwich structures & materials, and rubber constitutive modeling and fracture mechanics. Her industrial contracts have allowed her to work with National Oilwell Varco, Bridgestone/Firestone, Johnsonite, and Materials Research & Design.
