The Mary K. Kirtz Literary Essay Prize in International Literature, funded by Dr. Mary K. Kirtz, honors the achievements of her students who studied Canadian, Modern Russian, Modern European, and Holocaust
Prize:
$300.
Who can enter:
Any ¹ú²úÂ×Àí undergraduate or graduate student.
Submission Guidelines:
- Submit one essay written within the past year for an English Department course concerning international literature, including Holocaust literatures.
- Essay must be between 6-25 pages in length.
- Essay must be double-spaced in 12-point font and follow MLA guidelines.
- Your name should not appear on the essay itself. Instead, include a cover page with your name, student ID, and ¹ú²úÂ×Àí email address.
- Save the title of your document in “LAST NAME-Award Title” format (for example, SMITH-Kirtz Prize).
- Upload your document in PDF form.
- The submission link will become available in February 2025.
