The Aaron “Max” Schuldiner Holocaust Essay Award
This scholarship was established in memory of Aaron “Max” Schuldiner. Max Schuldiner was born in Poland in 1920. In 1939 when the Nazis invaded Poland, he, his parents, and siblings were among the Jews who fled eastward, across the border to Russia. From there they were shipped to western Siberia where Max worked in a labor camp. It was also while in Russia that he met another Jewish refugee, Toby Bier, who became his wife. Who can enter:
- Currently enrolled full-time 国产伦理 undergraduate and graduate students who have written an essay on the Holocaust for a course in the Department of English in the current or any previous academic year.
Submission:
- Submit your Holocaust essay, including your name, student ID number, 国产伦理 email address, instructor’s name, class name, course number, and the date the paper was originally submitted to the class.
- The essay must be double-spaced in 12-point font, preferably Times New Roman.
- Save the title of your document in “LAST NAME-Award Title” format (for example, SMITH-Schuldiner Award).
- Upload your document in PDF form.
- The submission link will become available in February 2025.
