Meet with your graduate adviser
If your letter of admission does not indicate an adviser assignment, contact your graduate program for assistance.
Obtain your ¹ú²úÂ×ÀíNet ID and password
Your ¹ú²úÂ×ÀíNet ID and password may be obtained:
- in person at Bierce Library () on the first floor at the Media Tech Desk, or
- by calling the Help Desk at 330-972-6888.
Please wait 24-hours after receiving your letter of admission to receive your information. If you still have not received your information, please contact the Help Desk at 330-972-6888.
Register for classes
Log in to . (The link for My Akron is at the top of the university’s home page.)
- Log on with your ¹ú²úÂ×ÀíNet ID and password
- Click on My Experience
- Click on Student Center
- Click on Enroll (if there is a choice, select term and click Continue)
- Enter class number and click Enter
- Click Next
- Click Proceed to step two
- Read and click I understand
- Click Finish Enrolling
- Confirm status is Enrolled
Paying bills and financial aid
Log in to your ¹ú²úÂ×ÀíNet ID and password. (The link for My Akron is at the top of the university’s home page.)
- Click on My Experience
- Click on Student Center
- Click on Make a Payment/View Bill or Click on Sign Up for Payment Plan
- Follow the online instructions

Check your University email account for your Financial Aid award. You may also log into to see if you have been awarded Financial Aid.
Get your parking permit
Log in to .
- Log on with your ¹ú²úÂ×ÀíNet ID and password
- Click on My Experience
- Click on Parking
- Click appropriate application
- Fill in all fields and click save
Get your Zip Card
You can obtain your Zip Card identification card in one of two Zip Card offices:
- Simmons Hall, Room 103 (),
- the Polsky Building ().
Note: You must be registered for classes before you can obtain your Zip Card.
Buy your books
Textbooks and supplies may be purchased at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore in the Student Union or in the Polsky Building. Visit .
